Atlas Sound unveils new Strategy Series landscape loudspeaker systems

LAS VEGAS, NV, June 18, 2008—Ready for poolside music, outdoor parties, sunning on the deck, and as the source of this summer's soundtrack for a full range of warm weather activities, Atlas Sound's new Strategy Series Rock loudspeaker, ROCKFA62T-BR is ideally suited for any commercial or residential landscape application.

Made from a rotationally-molded HDPE thermoplastic material, each Rock loudspeaker is weather-resistant and realistically imitates the appearance of granite stone. Inside, the device packs the proven performance of Atlas Sound's rugged FA136 driver and a 32-watt 70.7/100V transformer that terminates at a 24-inch pigtail rated for direct-burial. Including conductors for all transformer taps, the pigtail is also equipped with a direct connection to facilitate 8 Ω operation.

Mounted in a side-firing position, the Rock loudspeaker's driver can be precisely aimed according to the needs of its intended area of coverage. A recommended spacing of 30 feet between devices will provide uniform coverage in most applications. Closer spacing and/or additional units may be required for environments with high ambient noise levels or where stereo imaging is desired.

Making its InfoComm debut this year in booth #C4049, the new Rock loudspeaker from Atlas Sound is now shipping and additional information can be found on the Atlas Sound web site, www.atlassound.com.
